Joshua Dow is a private photographer based in Calgary, Alberta, working across automotive, pet, nature and still life photography.
Through a 7-year journey of work spanning multiple disciplines, photography has taught me many things, not the least of which is that the beauty of the world deserves to be appreciated. Until I became a photographer, the most interesting things would pass by me and I would simply just let them.
In 2019, that changed. Suddenly, everything around me began to take on a new kind of shine, one that I only would have found behind a camera. Now, 7 years later, I wouldn't trade photography for the world, as it has taken me to so many amazing places and introduced me to so many interesting people. From luxury car photography in the heart of downtown Calgary, to sneaking up on whitetail deer in the heart of the Canadian boreal forest to as high as the Rockies in the blistering cold of winter, photography has given me memories that last a lifetime. And now I want to bring that to you, based in Calgary and the surrounding areas.
